6 pm to 9 pm

Create art to feel centered and grounded. Slip into the creative zone and connect with your root chakra, the energy center that provides support for a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Balancing the root chakra helps to feel safe, grounded, and peaceful. This class begins with a Soul Journey Meditation designed to gently awaken the root chakra and your creativity. The root chakra checklist reveals how your root chakra is affecting your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. You’ll quickly and easily draw the root chakra mandala using one of Kathryn’s new chakra stencils. It’s fun to add color, patterns, and words into your chakra mandala artwork as you focus on positive intentions and affirmations.

Labyrinth Mandala Art

Sunday, October 6, 2019
10 am to 1 pm

Awaken your creativity and reflect on your life’s path. Dating back 5,000 years and found all over the world, labyrinths offer one a place to walk, meditate, and reflect. Labyrinths have a spiral like path within a circle that leads to the center where one pauses and then returns following the same path as they entered. Unlike mazes, there are no dead-ends within a labyrinth making them a safe and enjoyable place to relax and rejuvenate one’s spirit.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to draw a labyrinth in the medieval style inspired by the labyrinth found at the Cathedral of Chartres, France. Once drawn, we’ll “walk” along the path by adding color, patterns and journal writing. This lovely activity will give you time to reflect on where you’re at on your life’s journey.
