Twenty-four participants of the Inspired Vision Retreat were invited to contribute a piece to this group mandala project. Each person was given a piece and assigned a color. They printed the piece, filled it with color and form and incorporated their word-for-the-year into their design.
The Seed of Life is an elemental form in sacred geometry created by drawing seven circles of the same size. I love this design and how the overlapping circles create new shapes that look like flower petals. These containers are the perfect place for writing words and adding symbols, doodles, and color.
What makes the Seed of Life an elemental form? If you continue to draw circles, you’ll get the Flower of Life or the Torus Yantra depending on where you continue drawing the circles.
What better mandala to use to seed our intentions for the year?
What word will inspire you as you navigate the opportunities and challenges that are showing up for you? For participants in the workshop we played with words until we found the one that spoke to each of us. For some who arrived to the workshop with a word already selected, the activities gave them an opportunity to explore the many facets of the word.
As the pieces came together the Community Seed of Life Mandala is a symbol of hope and renewal.
